My Story
Hello! My name is Andreas Katsaounis, founder of Alpha Omega Pickleball. I'm an 18-year-old senior in high school from Omaha, Nebraska.
Ever since I picked up a pickleball paddle, I fell in love with the sport and it has become a huge part of my life. My passion for pickleball isn't just about playing the game; it has inspired me to dream big and start my own business.
In art class, I had the opportunity to combine my love for pickleball with my creative skills. I designed my very own logo. This logo represents not just my brand, but my heritage. My Father, who has been a huge role model to me, was born and raised in Greece so I wanted to dedicate my business to my Greek heritage. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega is the last. My logo combines the alpha and omega symbols together. Each of my paddles are named after different Greek God's that I read stories about as a child.
I had always wanted to be an entrepreneur when I grew up and when I found pickleball I knew immediately that I wanted to start my entrepreneurial journey here. After almost an entire year of research on pickleball paddles with lots of trial and error I found myself with a paddle that I absolutely loved and knew everyone else would too. I was right, my Poseidon paddle ended up selling out twice within 5 months of starting my business. Since then I have grown my brand to now include clothes as well as a second paddle, the Ares. And I don't plan on stopping yet!
I just recently graduated and I'm stepping into the next chapter of my life, I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Whether it's competing on the court or building my business, I am committed to pursuing my dreams with enthusiasm and hard work. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way and remember Alpha Omega is the First and the Last paddle you'll ever need!
